Dillon Dynamometer / hoist scale - 20,000 pound / ten ton capacity

This is for a Dillon 20,000 pound (ten ton) Dynamometer.  It can be used to weigh objects that can be suspended by a cable and shackle. Two shackles are included. Ten inch diameter scale. The red pointer records maximum reading until reset, which is done manually.
Originally designed to measure the tension on telephone cables, the Dillon Dynamometer has proven to have limitless versatility as a tension, traction and weight measuring instrument. It has been used for such diverse jobs as mounting cables for bridges; adjusting tension on guy wires; field testing chain, rope, wire—anything requiring precision force or tension measurement.
Light surface rust on shackles.
