Condition: Very old, made in Heidelberg, Germany. This piece is in excellent conditon. 5 3/4 inches tall, 2 5/8 inches wide, 2 inches deep. The rounded niche is made of oak with a dark walnut colored wood stain upon it. The front of the niche is banded with a brass colored molding, providing an excellent focal point to a very young Mother Mary. I don't know the material that Mary is made from, I believe it to be a resin. Please see all photos and the German label upon the back to this piece.

This is an amazing antique piece that honors the image of the young woman appearing in the center of this niche. This is a young Mother Mary who is the focal interest in this piece. She is standing upon a sphere that may be symbolic of the world. The gift of her son, Jesus the Christ, did change the entire world forever.
